Get up and running with AlertMagnet in just a few steps. Whether you are deploying with Docker, cPanel shared hosting, or an Apache/Nginx VPS, setup is simple and fast.

Using docker compose

The easiest way to get started on any VPS is by running the following command in your terminal:

docker compose up -d

This will scaffold a new AlertMagnet container with all the necessary dependencies pre-configured and ready to serve on port 8080.

Manual Setup (cPanel / Apache / Nginx)

Prefer to install AlertMagnet directly on your web hosting or cPanel? Follow these simple steps:

1. Upload & Extract:

   Upload the AlertMagnet release ZIP to your domain's document root (e.g. public_html or a subdomain like push.yourdomain.com) and extract the archive.

2. Visit in Browser:

   Open your domain in any web browser (e.g. https://push.yourdomain.com). AlertMagnet will automatically launch the on-screen Setup Wizard.

3. Activate License:

   Enter your administrator email, choose your password, and paste your license key (issued upon purchase) to complete activation.

Storage Permissions

If you encounter a permission prompt on Linux or VPS hosting, ensure the storage folder is writable by your web server:

chmod -R 775 storage
chown -R www-data:www-data storage
