Welcome to AlertMagnet (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy rights. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we process it, and what controls you have over your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when creating an account, updating your profile, purchasing an edition license, or contacting technical support.

Personal Information Provided by You

  • Account Identity: Name, email address, password hash, and optional profile avatar.
  • Billing Records: Transaction amounts, license keys, and payment gateway reference tokens (Razorpay, Stripe). Sensitive credit card numbers and CVV codes are never stored on our servers.

Automatically Collected Data

  • Security & Log Data: Client IP address, browser user-agent, operating system, and authentication timestamps recorded for security audit logging.
  • Cookies & Session Tokens: Strictly necessary HTTP-only authentication cookies and CSRF tokens required for secure session management.

2. Data Protection & Self-Hosted Control

AlertMagnet is built so your push subscriber database, visitor subscription endpoints, and notification campaigns stay on your own server.

The only outbound request between your self-hosted server and our license infrastructure is a periodic license check. It sends the license key, your domain, and the activation token. It does not send subscriber data.

3. Third-Party Push Services

Standard web push notifications are delivered to user devices through the browser vendors’ native encrypted push services:

  • Google Chrome / Chromium: Google FCM Push Service
  • Apple Safari (macOS & iOS 16.4+): Apple Push Notification service (APNs)
  • Mozilla Firefox: Mozilla Autopush Service

All push notification payloads sent by AlertMagnet are encrypted client-side using standard VAPID / RFC 8291 before transmission, ensuring intermediate vendors cannot read your notification contents.

4. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, export, update, or request deletion of your personal account data at any time by contacting privacy@alertmagnet.com.
